The air thins, the noise of the valley falls away, and a small wooden hut waits at the edge of a high meadow. This is a slow climb into stillness: the last switchback before the ridge, the smell of cold grass at dusk, a lantern lit against the coming dark, and the wide, quiet sky settling overhead once the fire burns low.
