Dusk settles over the valley and the day's noise finally drains away, leaving room for something older to speak. This is a slow gathering of owl calls carried across open country: the low back-and-forth between mates, the sharp bark that cuts through fog, the long silences that make the next sound matter more. No commentary, no rush, just the valley doing what it has always done after dark.
